The 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Buffalo National River continued at the University of Arkansas's David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History on October 26, 2022, with a panel of experts discussing the effects climate change will have on the river and the region.

Dr. Steve Boss, professor of environmental dynamics and sustainability in the U of A's Department of Geosciences, moderated the discussion with Dr. Dan Magoulick and Dr. David Paillet.

Magoulick is a professor of biological sciences at the U of A and an assistant unit leader at the Arkansas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. His research focuses on factors affecting population and community dynamics of freshwater fish and invertebrates.

Fred Paillet is an adjunct professor of geosciences at the university and emeritus research scientist with the US Geological Survey. Paillet is an expert in hydrogeology of bedrock aquifers and specializes in groundwater flow modeling and scale analysis in aquifer characterization.

This panel is part of the Digital Buffalo project, which has been sponsored by the University of Arkansas Chancellor's innovation Fund and is under the direction of the U of A Humanities Center and U of A Libraries.
